NEM-10 Competition Terms and Conditions

Please find below a comprehensive overview of Competition Rules, and Terms and Conditions relating to each of the Competitions & Quizzes promoted as part of The Big NEM-10 Event and Car Meet. Please note the General Terms and Conditions apply to all activities. 
  • + General Terms and Conditions
    • The following terms and conditions apply to all competitions, quizzes and associated prizes, promoted in conjunction or as part of The Big NEM-10 Event & Car Meet, organised by Nemesis UK, and include:

       In the Activity category:
      • Hot Shot Shooter Competition
      • Pole Position Competition
      • History & Heroes Quiz
      In the Car Meet category:
      • Motion Picture Match Up Competition
      • Master of Class Competition
      • Performance Driven Competition
      The organiser is: Nemesis UK Performance Ltd (company no. 6308029)] whose registered office is at 1 Oldbury Vale, Oldbury Wells, Bridgnorth, Shropshire WV16 5JB.

      Entry to any competitions and quizzes opens at 11.00am on 14th October 2017 and closes at 2.00pm on 14th October 2017. After this time, no further entries will be valid or permitted.

      By participating in any competitions or quizzes, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

      As well as Terms and Conditions set out above and below, additional Terms and Conditions for each of the competitions and quizzes apply. Copies of these will be provided in the NEM-10 Indoor Suite, at the location of entry to activities, or can be requested from one of our event staff.

      Nemesis UK Performance Ltd shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify the terms and conditions. Any changes will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the organiser. Nemesis UK Performance Ltd also reserves the right to cancel the competitions and quizzes if at any time should circumstances arise outside of its control.

      Entry requirements
      Competitions and quizzes are open to all registered attendees and guests of The Big NEM-10 Event & Car Meet, aged 18 and over, except employees of Nemesis UK Performance Ltd and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with supply, organisation or judging.
      Participants under the age of 18 are welcome to take part in activities, unless otherwise stated. However, they will not be eligible to enter or win any of the competitions and quizzes.
      There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter any of our competitions and quizzes.
      Prizes
      Prizes are as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. Prizes are not transferable.
      Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
      The organiser is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with the event or activities.
      Winners
      Winners for all prizes will be announced in the NEM-10 Indoor Suite between 2.00pm-4.00pm on 14th October 2017.
      Winners will be chosen based on the How to Win criteria and Competition Rules associated with each individual competition or quiz.
      Winners in the Car Meet category will be chosen by a panel of judges appointed by the Organiser.
      Winners in the Activity category will be based on results collected throughout the day, during the competition window 11.00am – 2.00pm.
      Finally
      The Organiser’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competitions and quizzes will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
      The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
      Any winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material or for marketing purposes. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  • + Hot Shot Shooter Competition
    • How to Win
      Achieve the top highest score on the Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting.
      High scores will be added to a leader board, along with the name of the scorer. In addition, contact details may be collected.
      The competition is open from 11.00am – 2.00pm.
      The winner will be announced at 3.00pm in the NEM-10 Indoor Suite. Continued use of the activity is available until 4.00pm.
      Competition Rules
      Each player will have the chance to score up to 42 points over 15 targets.
      All participants may have numerous sessions on the activity throughout the day, however people who have not had a go take preference.
      Furthermore, if any subsequent score is lower than your previous score, then this will apply to the rankings.
      Young persons may have a go if they can hold the gun safely, and should have parental guidance at all times, however they will not eligible for entry into the competition unless over 18.

      You must be aged 18 or over to be eligible to take part in the competition aspect to win the prize.
      The winner will be able to collect their prize from event staff in the NEM-10 Indoor Suite. Event staff may use the contact number provided to attempt to contact the winner. If the prize is not collected the organiser reserves the right to withdraw the prize or pick a replacement winner.
      Any person not wanting to be entered into the competition should inform the Organiser.
  • + Pole Position Competition
    • How to Win
      Achieve the quickest lap time on the Racing Simulators.
      High scores will be added to a leader board, along with the name of the scorer. In addition, contact details may be collected.
      The competition is open from 11.00am – 2.00pm.
      The winner will be announced at 3pm in the NEM-10 Indoor Suite. Continued use of the activity is available until 4.00pm.
      Competition Rules
      The quickest lap times of individuals throughout the day will be recorded on the leader board.
      All participants may have numerous sessions on the activity throughout the day, however people who have not had a go take preference.
      Only laps taken on the agreed competition circuit will be counted.
      Young persons may have a go providing they can use the equipment safely, and should have parental guidance at all times, however they will not eligible for entry into the competition unless over 18.

  • + History & Heroes Quiz
    • How to Win
      Entries with the most correct answers will win a prize.
      Collect a question sheet from a member of our event team, complete it with your answers and submit it via the Quiz Box before 2.00pm.
      The competition is open from 11.00am – 2.00pm.
      The winner will be announced at 3pm in the NEM-10 Indoor Suite.
      Competition Rules
      One question sheet per person. If you make an error and require a new sheet please speak to a member of the event team.
      Some questions may require you to seek knowledge or advice from a member of staff so don’t be afraid to ask.
      Scores will be calculated by our panel of judges. Points will be awarded for correct answers only, some discretion may be given to misspelt or partly valid answers.
      The judge’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the quiz will be final.

  • + Motion Picture Match Up Competition
    • How to Win
      We love seeing cars made to look like their famous movie counterparts and we’ll be giving away a prize to the top imitator on show.
      Read the Judging Criteria below. If your vehicle is eligible to compete be sure to register it with one of our event staff. During the day our panel of judges will pop along to rate your car.
      Judging will take place between 11.00am – 2.00pm.
      The winner will be announced from 2.00pm in the NEM-10 Indoor Suite.
      Competition Rules
      Our assessment criteria considers the appearance and shared characteristics of cars from film.
      A prize will be awarded to the most esteemed car as judged.
      It’s the owner’s responsibility to provide clear indication of which car from Film your vehicle’s appearance is imitating.
      You must attend with your car, and have it on show in the NEM-10 Event and Car Meet carpark. Photographic entries will not be valid.
      The judges’ decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final.

  • + Master of Class Competition
    • How to Win
      To honour the love and restoration of
      classic sports cars, we’re giving away a prize to
      the most impressive pre-1980s car.
      Read the Judging Criteria below. If your vehicle is eligible to compete be sure to register it with one of our event staff. During the day, our panel of judges will pop along to rate your car.
      Judging will take place between 11.00am – 2.00pm.
      The winner will be announced from 2.00pm in the NEM-10 Indoor Suite.
      Competition Rules
      To compete your vehicle must have been originally built pre-1980s.
      Our assessment criteria considers the car’s age, appearance, restorations, modifications and heritage.
      A prize will be awarded to the most esteemed car as judged.
      You must attend with your car, and have it on show in the NEM-10 Event and Car Meet carpark. Photographic entries will not be valid.
      The judges’ decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final.

      Are you performance driven like us?
      Impress us with your power tuning upgrades for the chance to be awarded Champion Stallion.
      Read the Judging Criteria below. If your vehicle is eligible to compete be sure to register it with one of our event staff. During the day, our panel of judges will pop along to rate your car.
      Judging will take place between 11.00am – 2.00pm.
      The winner will be announced from 2.00pm in the NEM-10 Indoor Suite.
      Competition Rules
      Our assessment criteria considers any aftermarket modifications such as performance parts, handling upgrades, body styling and accessories.
      A prize will be awarded to the most esteemed car as judged.
      You must attend with your car, and have it on show in the NEM-10 Event and Car Meet carpark. Photographic entries will not be valid.
      The judges’ decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final.
