Manufactured from heavy-duty 38mm (front) and 25mm (rear) DOM steel tubing, the SB763 is cold formed to better resist torsional fatigue and retain its "memory" far longer than the hot-formed bars used by many competitors. The sway bar is CNC-formed for exact manufacturing tolerances and repeatable high quality. Thrust washers are welded to the front bar to locate the sway bar bushing mounts. This is critical as it properly locates the sway bar and prevents lateral movement during hard cornering manoeuvres. The SB763 attaches to your S550 Mustang with polyurethane bushings, reducing the deflection from the stock rubber bushings. These bushings are made from low-deflection polyurethane with a 95-durometer hardness for the front and 88-durometer for the rear, and feature internal flutes to retain grease for optimal performance.
BMR Suspension designed the SB763 sway bar kit for street performance, autocross, and road race applications. With its four front and three rear adjustable positions, the SB763 gives you the versatility to drive to and from the road course or autocross and out handle the competition on the track with the same sway bars. The front sway bar (SB764) gives you a 58%-157% increase in sway bar rate, and the rear sway bar (SB045) gives you a 63%-208% increase in rate over the stock bar. The adjustability and rate increases allow you to fine-tune the handling characteristics of your S550 Mustang so you can drive harder through corners with minimal body roll. The hollow design allows for loads of strength in the lightest package possible. This means increased performance with no sacrifices. The SB763 sway bar kit by BMR Suspension attaches to your Mustang with 95-durometer polyurethane bushings for the front and 88-durometer for the rear to reduce deflection from stock rubber bushings, resulting in improved sway bar control and handling.
This SB763 kit is even further uprated over the stock sway bars than the SB043 kit. The only difference between the two kits is the different front bar. The SB764 front bar in this kit is made of thicker 38mm DOM tubing, has an additional adjustment point (four total), features 95-durometer bushings and has a 58%-157% increase in sway bar rate over standard. This is compared to the 35mm DOM tubing, three adjustment points, 88-durometer bushings and 19%-55% increase in sway bar rate found in the SB044 front sway bar.
Installation time is about 2-3 hours.
